FACILITY OPERATIONS SPECIALIST

Serves as a Facility Operations Specialist for the PD ALTESS. Plans and directs comprehensive programs for the operation, maintenance, repair, and improvement of the facilities by utilizing a working knowledge and skills of multiple trades/crafts. Determines operating and maintenance requirements, forecasts resource requirements, accomplishes programs, and evaluates program effectiveness through inspections, budget controls, and management improvement studies. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job.Specialized experience is defined as:
Experience with Commercial HVAC. Experience performing building maintenance to include electrical, plumbing, ground, equipment (i.e. generators, etc.) and/or building automation. Experience with inspecting/servicing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) units/systems and/or chillers within a variety of structures; and performing construction/carpentry work such as repairing, constructing, or remodeling of structures. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service NH-01 or GS-04 equivalent OR Education:
Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position, such as business administration, accounting, or acquisition and contract administration. Experience:
A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. (To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then, divide your semester hours of graduate education beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify.) (Note:

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
