Citizenship is required Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance (Interim Secret) Under general direction, performs high-level systems analysis, evaluation, design, integration, documentation, and implementation of very complex application that require a thorough knowledge of administrative, and technical skills Directs and participates in all phases of system development with emphasis on planning, analysis, evaluation, integration, testing and acceptance phases (IV&V and DT&E) Applies higher-level business or technical principles and methods to very difficult technical problems to arrive at automated engineering solution Designs and prepares technical reports and related documentation, and makes charts and graphs to record results Prepare and deliver presentations and briefings as required by the Task Order.
May be required to serve as Task Leader Responsible for ensuring the quality and services delivered for particular task(s) for which this skill is performing the Task Leader position POSITION DESCRIPTION:
This position is for a Systems Administrator with 7 to 10 years experience to build and maintain a growing Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 virtual environment that supports database and SAP applications.
This position will work with the existing UNIX team and the ERP teams to manage, maintain, deploy, troubleshoot and support servers for a mixed customer environment.
This position will assist with implementing new system hardware and software, and provide input for developing local operating procedures and policies as needed.
This position will need to be adept at monitoring the ongoing operation of the servers and providing utilization reports to identify problems and corrective actions as needed.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 administration, shell scripting, networking concepts (VLANs, routing, firewalls, subnetting), familiarity with server virtualization technologies (e.
g.
VMware), SAN/storage concepts (LUNs, HBAs), logical volume management, NFS, working knowledge of OS security best practices, experience with the Secure Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) process, and configuring/managing/updating large groups of servers DESIRED SKILLS:
Additional skills may also include familiarity with Solaris and AIX, and clustering technologies such as Oracle RAC and VCS.
Experience using Puppet as a configuration management tool is a bonus.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
