Part Time Member Service Representative (Teller)

The Member Service Representative is responsible for serving the financial needs of our member-owners accurately and efficiently, and in the process, providing information on basic deposit products and services. Performs all traditional teller functions in a manner which aligns with the Credit Union's mission of enhancing our member-owners' financial lives and becoming their preferred financial partner. The Member Service Representative should possess a strong commitment to providing excellent service to Truliant's member-owners.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Understands and individually contributes to the implementation of the center's growth plan.
Assists the member in evaluating their current and future financial goals by conducting quality Full TruFinancial Checkups to provide solutions with Credit Union deposit products and services.
Ensures consistent adherence to Credit Union member service standards throughout every member-owner interaction, including basic problem resolution.
Interacts professionally with other departments within the Credit Union.
Maintains integrity and confidentiality when handling member's accounts.
Adheres to all Credit Union and security policies and procedures.
Independently performs all teller functions accurately and efficiently. Resolves discrepancies as needed.
Provides basic member service operations.
Researches and resolves minor account issues.
Provides information on basic deposit product to member-owners.
Manages loan referrals to the MSS team, utilizing a pipeline to ensure follow-up.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Must have sound understanding of standard concepts, practices, procedures, regulations and compliance within the financial services environment
Must have excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Strong interpersonal skills required
Previous sales experience preferred
Must have good arithmetic skills
Must have basic personal computer skills
Must have ability to understand all business processes within the credit union
Must be detail oriented and well organized
Must be able to work in a general office environment
Must be flexible and able to shift resources and priorities as required
Must be able to complete all assignments with minimal supervision
Must possess a strong commitment to providing excellent service to Truliant's members
Education and Background
High School Diploma or equivalent required
A minimum of 6 months to 1 year related experience in the retail industry or financial services preferredEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
