Radford
University invites applications for the position of Applications Analyst in
Enterprise Systems within the Division of Information Technology.
The Applications Analyst will provide
analysis, coding, testing and maintenance for enterprise systems to meet user
requirements and schedules as directed. This position will design, develop and
implement software and systems that meet development standards and coordinate
communication with stakeholders.
The
Applications Analyst will foster teamwork within and across organizational
lines.
Required
Qualifications:
Knowledge
of programming, debugging, analysis of automated processes, systems development
principles and industry best practices. Proficient with SQL, PL/SQL and some
combination of the following: Linux, C, C++, Java, Javascript or similar
languages. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrated
excellence in customer service.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Preference
given for experience with Ellucian Banner software products, Oracle DBMS and
tools, web application development, and Cognos or similar reporting tools.
Knowledge of large scale computing environments. Experience or training in
Groovy, Grails or Java.
Education/
Experience:
Bachelor's
Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field, or the
equivalent level of education, training and work experience.
Compensation:
Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and
experience.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
