Holston and Radford AAPs have provided high quality explosives and propellants for our soldiers since WWII and will continue to push the frontier of energetic material synthesis and manufacturing with your help.
BAE Systems, one of the world's leading defense contractors and a stable Fortune 500 Company, is hiring a Procurement Analyst II for our GOCO (government owned contractor operated) facilities located in both Radford, VA and Holston, TN.
The role will primarily support chemical manufacturing and industrial construction related programs at the Holston & Radford Army Ammunition Plants, starting at the proposal preparation phase all the way through contract closeout.
This is a fast-paced position at a growing site and we are looking for someone to hit the ground running.
Location/Travel/Schedule:
Remote work will be considered.
This position will require up to 10% of travel.
This role works a 9/80 schedule where you will have every other Friday off.
Responsibilities:
Solicit and evaluate proposals, negotiate and prepare purchase orders, monitor supplier performance, and document purchase order files in accordance with established Procurement Policies and Procedures and U.
S.
government regulations.
Identify potential sources for required materials or services and develop and issue Requests for Quotes (RFQs).
Support small business goals.
Receive, review, and negotiate supplier proposals.
Negotiate purchase order terms and conditions including estimated cost/price, delivery, quality, and performance requirements.
Conduct FAR compliant price analysis to analyze supplier's price.
Document the entire negotiation process.
Develop purchase order documentation; review it for compliance with Government, Corporate, and Company requirements; and obtain management approval, as required, prior to issuance to the supplier.
Address shipping/receiving and invoice issues.
Expedite delivery of purchase order items.
Provide purchase order status as required.
Execute supplier NDA/PIAs.
Perform purchase order close-out.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of experience or equivalent experience Experience in commodity Purchasing.
Experience issuing and documenting purchase orders that are subject to FAR/DFARS.
Able to multi-task and adapt to shifting priorities Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Excellent written communications skills Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Experience in Industrial Construction a plus Experience with Maximo ERP system Experience with Coupa Experience in Department of Defense (DoD) Modernization a plus Experience in Government Owned Contractor Operated (GOCO) a plus Experience in International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR) a plus Experience in Export Administration Regulation (EAR) a plus About BAE Systems Platforms & Services BAE Systems, Inc.
